What are your interests outside of work?

I try to lead an active lifestyle. I enjoy most outdoor sports, and will try almost anything.

At Maryville College, I was a varsity soccer and tennis player, and competed in the NCAA Div III.

I currently participate in a mens soccer league in Nova Scotia, and hike around the province regularly.

During winter, I'm an avid downhill skier and love getting involved with snow sports.

Where are you from?

Tough question! I was born in Newcastle, England. However, I spent a significant portion of my life growing up in Tennessee, USA, and Nassau, Bahamas. From living in these places, I've learned how to adapt and embrace the cultures that I am exposed to. I have also gained appreciations for cultural nuances and ways-of-life.

What have you learned most from retail?

I've learned how to tailor on-the-spot sales pitches to each individual's needs and wants. I've also learned that if the product aligns perfectly with the customer's needs, they will be a customer for life.

What did you enjoy most about your work in the public sector?

I enjoyed the independence I had when it came to problem solving. I like looking at problems from all angles, so I was able to come up with some unique solutions to traditional communication problems.
